How to Find Your Filing Contacts
WARN notices must be sent to three recipients. Follow these research steps to find current contact information for your specific location.
1 Local Workforce Development Board (LWDB)
California has regional workforce boards (not city-based). Find yours using these methods:
EDD WARN Services (scroll for LWDB contacts)2 Chief Elected Official (CEO)
The "chief elected official" varies by jurisdiction. Find the correct office for your location:
- Incorporated cities: Usually the Mayor or City Manager (check city website for "WARN Notice" submission instructions)
- Unincorporated areas: County Board of Supervisors (check county website)
3 California Employment Development Department (EDD)
State filing must be concurrent (same day) as employee notices. Verified contact information:
