How to Find Your Filing Contacts

WARN notices must be sent to three recipients. Follow these research steps to find current contact information for your specific location.

1 Local Workforce Development Board (LWDB)

California has regional workforce boards (not city-based). Find yours using these methods:

EDD WARN Services (scroll for LWDB contacts)
Alternative search: Google "[Your County] Workforce Development Board WARN" or visit your county's workforce services website for direct contact info.

2 Chief Elected Official (CEO)

The "chief elected official" varies by jurisdiction. Find the correct office for your location:

  • Incorporated cities: Usually the Mayor or City Manager (check city website for "WARN Notice" submission instructions)
  • Unincorporated areas: County Board of Supervisors (check county website)
Search method: Google "[Your City] WARN notice submission" or check the city's official website under "Business" or "Economic Development" sections

3 California Employment Development Department (EDD)

State filing must be concurrent (same day) as employee notices. Verified contact information:

Mail: Workforce Services Division, 800 Capitol Mall MIC 50, Sacramento, CA 95814
✓ Verified: This EDD contact information was verified as of January 2026
